In the roundabout way of songwriting inspiration, I have Bobby Rush to thank for this tune. I wrote a song (‘Chicken Wants Corn’) around a quote of Bobby’s on my last YDR album ‘Lucky 13’. We talked about it in Memphis that year at the Blues Music Awards. He was very nice and gave me a copy of his latest single, a song called ‘Night Fishing’… What can I say? I am very impressionable.
